Gertrude E. Puesey, 92, of Tiffin, passed away on Sunday evening, January 27, 2013 at St. Francis Nursing Home.

She was born on May 22, 1920 in Tiffin, OH to Robert and Clara (Schetter) Hayward. She married W. Lowell Puesey on August 5, 1939 in St. Joseph Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1984.

Survivors include 2 sons, William L. (Diane) Puesey of Tiffin and Franklin H. (Margaret) of Bradford, England; one daughter Judy Koch of Tiffin; daughter in law Barb Trapp of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; son David Puesey in 2002; infant daughter; 3 brothers Richard, Robert, and Franklin Hayward; great grandchild; and son in law Richard Koch, 2004.

Gertrude was a clerk at J.C Penney's retiring in 1982 after 18 years. She belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #2858, and the Daughters of Isabella at St. Mary Catholic Church. She traveled to England three times to see her son and family also took yearly trips to Marietta, OH. She enjoyed driving up to the lake on the weekends, and also loved to read and play BINGO. But Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday January 30, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 1:30 P.M.
