Obituary

Gloria Jean Hunter, 86, of Medway, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Springfield Regional Medical Center.

She was born on January 25, 1940, in Newbern, Tennessee to the late Abraham and Catherine (Wright) Hunter. She married the late Charles H. Haskins and they later divorced.

Survivors include her sons, Charles Lamont (Brenna) Haskins, Malcolm (Maxine) Haskins and Gerald Haskins, all of Milwaukee, WI; daughter, Nancy Haskins of Toledo; brother, Phillip Hunter of Fostoria; daughter-in-law Misty (North) Haskins 34 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Maurice Haskins, Don A. Haskins; brother, Jeffery Hunter; and sister Emma Goodman.

Gloria was raised in Tiffin, and all her children were born in Tiffin. She graduated from Columbian High School and from Ohio University. She started off as an L.P.N and then went on to become an elementary teacher. After retiring from teaching, she was a chef at MonAmi in Port Clinton. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, animals, and thrifting.

Her Graveside Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Fairmont Cemetery.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
