Grace J. Merryfield, 80, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, March 21, 2011 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

On June 7, 1930 in Oregon, OH; she was born to Clyde and Jenny (Walker) Harrington. She married Richard L. Merryfield on May 25, 1968.

Survivors include 3 sons, Richard (Roberta) Merryfield of Ramaha, CO; John (JoAnn) Merryfield of Tiffin; Jerry (Laura) Merryfield of Calhan, CO; daughters, Kathy Cummings of Tiffin; Chris (Bruce) Phillips-Pruett of Gulfport, MS; Virginia "Ginnie" Nocks of Columbus, OH; 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and special friends, Charissa Cooley, Eileen Feasel, and Carla Beal.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, brothers, Harold, Earl "Jake", and William Harrington; sister, Fern Ida Black.

Grace worked at General Electric, Tiffin Glass House, The Ranch and as a bartender at the Hotel Stallsworth for over 25 years. She was a member of Tiffin Moose Lodge and Tiffin Eagles. She volunteered her time in helping others and was a collector of Elvis and NASCAR memorabilia.

A funeral service will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Roger Giese officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Burgoon.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and on Thursday from 10-12 prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
