Gregory A. Summers, 69, of Cleveland, formerly of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

He was born on February 26, 1955, to Allen and Pauline (Dillard) Summers. On October 10, 2009, he married Christopher Byrom at Archwood United Church of Christ in Cleveland.

Survivors include his husband, Chris, of Cleveland; sister, Debra Summers of Tiffin; nieces and nephews, Aaron Gannon of Cleveland, Aaric Gannon, Ravyn Gannon, Blayz Gannon, Juvencia Gannon and Ian Malone all of Tiffin; friends, Dave Sussang and Kathy Sussang both of Tiffin and Noel Walker of North Carolina; and his dog, Fergus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mark Summers; sister, Peggy Summers; brother-in-law, Lynn Gannon; friend, Donna Graham; and dogs, Castiel, and Maximus.

Greg was a 1973 graduate of Columbian High School and a member of Archwood United Church of Christ. He worked at MetroHealth in Cleveland and was a cherished member of their team. He was a giving person, believing in second chances and helping those who needed them. He had an eclectic sense of humor and loved to garden, growing orchids and sunflowers. Greg was an avid thrift store shopper and Buckeye's fan. He was a great cook and enjoyed trips to Amish Country for spices and bonded with his nephew, Aaron, through cooking. Greg helped organize the Seneca County Dessert Storm Homecoming and helped arrange his class reunions.
