Gretchen M. Bartley, 75, of Tiffin, passed away on Friday December 5, 2014 peacefully in her home with family by her side.

She was born on June 3, 1939 in Tiffin, Ohio to Carl and Irene M. (Roberts) Routson. Gretchen was first married to Robert L. King (preceding her in death) and later to James H. Bartley.

Gretchen is survived by her second husband, James H. Bartley; two daughters, Cindy Shaffer and Penny (James) Dicken, both of Tiffin; her grandchildren, Todd (Annette) Jumper of Tiffin, Jamie (Preston) Smith of Greensburg, PA, Heather Factor of Tiffin, John Dicken of Tiffin, Amber Factor of Tiffin, Kiri (Thomas) Pasch of Dayton and Colleen Dicken of Tiffin; and her grandchildren, Lyra and Dravyn Dicken and Meadow Smith.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. King, and parents, Carl and Irene.

Gretchen graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School. She worked for General Electric, Foodtown and Taiho, making friends everywhere she went. She was a member of the Women of Moose since 1995. She loved auctions, collecting Fenton, her Bible study group, spending time with her family, and of course, her dog TeTe. Gretchen also loved going to the beach with her family.

Her Memorial service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will be at a later date.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-3:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County or to Community Hospice of Tiffin, per Gretchen's request.
