Harold Cecil Price, 84, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 27, 2016 in Bridge Hospice at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
He was born on March 20, 1932, in Newton Township, Ohio, to Earl and Marie (Wilson) Price. On January 5, 1955, he married Carmella Lebel.
Survivors include his wife, Carmella of Tiffin; son, Brian Price of Tiffin; two daughters, Rosemary Roe of Brodhead, Wisconsin and Charlene (Tom) Rees of Napoleon; two grandchildren, Justin (Katie) Talmadge and Emily (Andrew Gahagan) Rees; nephew, Joe Price; cousin Larry Hope; and expecting a great grandchild in January.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl "Keith" (Antoinette) Price; infant sister; and a niece, Mary (Dave) Estep.
Harold graduated in 1950 from Tiffin Columbian High School and retired as manager from American Standard after 43 years. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in Kwajalein and later transferring to Luring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine, where he met his wife, Carmella. He earned the good conduct medal and was honorably discharged on December 8, 1954. Harold enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching and golfing in a golf league in his earlier years; earning several trophies.
The family would like to thank the medical personnel who have assisted Harold and his family.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with military honors
being conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Ohio State University James Cancer Center.
