Harold L. Shuff, 81, of Tiffin, died, Friday evening, December 5, 2008, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

On August 7, 1927, he was born to Frank and Flora (Shook) Shuff in Tiffin. On September 18, 1948, he married Dorothy Bare in McCutchenville, Ohio.

Survivors include, his mother, Flora Shuff, his wife, Dorothy of Tiffin, three sons, Stephen M. (Jamie) Shuff of Burlington, MA, Michael D. Shuff of Tiffin, Terry W. (Brenda) Shuff of Sycamore, three daughters, Diana L. (James) Brandt of Tiffin, Denise A. Conger of Tiffin, Darlene K. (Marvin) Patton of Seneca, MO, one brother, Robert T. Shuff of Tiffin, a sister, Lois (Richard) Wagner of Tiffin, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are is father, Frank Shuff a sister-in-law, Jean Shuff, and a grandson, Bradley Brandt, and a great-granddaughter, Ryann Brandt.

Harold graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School. On May 23, 1945 he joined the United States Navy, serving his country during World War II, on the CB Main Unit 618. He later retired from American Standard after 44 years of employment as a production control manager in 1988. He was a life member of Eagles Aerie #402, life member of VFW Post #2858, and member of AmVets Post #48. He was also an avid golfer.

A funeral service will be at 11 am, Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Louis Dorsch officiating. Entombment will follow in Seneca Memory Garden with Military Graveside Services conducted by the United Veteran's Council.

Friends may visit with the family 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424.
