Harriet L. 'Hattie' Woessner, 83, of Tiffin, peacefully went to be with our Lord, Thursday afternoon, April 23, 2009, surrounded by her family and friends at her home.
May 23, 1925, she was born in Sandusky County to DeWitt and Mary Ruth (Dymond) Drown. December 9, 1950, she married Robert F. Woessner.
Survivors include a son, Rex 'Pete' (Melody) Woessner of Tiffin, two daughters, Darlene 'Dee' Paaaina of Sycamore, Deb Ranker of Tiffin, a sister, Sarah Drown of Green Springs, eight grandchildren, Chad Woessner, Tyson Woessner, Amber Crow, Robyn Hockley, David Desbin, Tiara Paaaina, Aaron Paaaina, Craig Ranker and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband on February 3, 1992, are four brothers, Olen, Clarence, John and Jim Drown.
Harriet was a 1945 graduate of Thompson High School and a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She volunteered for Mobile Meals, loved her church and was a Girl Scout and Brownie leader. She was always willing to help others that needed transportation, putting others before herself.
Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family 4-8 PM, Monday, April 27, and 10-11 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424.
Memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice Care or Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
