The daughter of Clarence J. and Corrine V. (Schock) Goshe, Hazel was born on January 20, 1923 in Tiffin. On June 17, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Richard J. Wise by Rev. Leo Fry. They enjoyed 39 years together.

Hazel and Richard raised 6 children together, 2 daughters, Judy (Gary) Huffman and Karen (Tom) Lucius both of Tiffin; 4 sons, Tom (Theresa) Wise of Tiffin; John (Sharon) Wise of Findlay; Jim (Kris) Wise of Tiffin; Gary (Colleen) Wise of Findlay. Hazel is also survived by sister, Ruth A. (Harold) Gruss of Tiffin; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard on July 22, 1986; infant son on March 13, 1954; brother and sister in law, Edward N. and Marjorie E. Goshe; sisters, Norma Jean Goshe and Chadyne F. Desgrange.

Hazel was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed collecting fine glassware and reminiscing of bygone days of ballroom dancing with her husband. Family came first for Hazel, teaching them the importance of loving each other. She enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would tell everyone how proud she was of her children and their families.

In celebration of Hazel's life, a mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, January 13, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 am with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. The rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

The family invites friends to visit in honor of their mother's memory on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 2-8 pm at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack-Funeral Home & Crematory.
