Helen E. "Betty" Blust, 90, 0f Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, August 4, 2016 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

She was born on January 1, 1926, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Shelby V. and Frances E. (Davey) Myers. On September 16, 1946, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married George J. Blust and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1996.

Survivors include two sons, George A. Blust and John S. (Rhea) Blust, both of Tiffin; daughter, (Carole) Jane (Max) Eddy, of Tiffin; brother, William (Donna) Myers of California; sisters, Carol (Ralph) Bryant of Tiffin and Anna Mae Smith; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren;

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Thomas P. Blust; two daughters, Elizabeth A. "Betsy" Sims and Mary E. Steinmetz; grandson, John Patrick; and great grandson, Joshua.

Betty graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1943, from St. Rita's School of Nursing in 1946 and retired from Mercy Hospital in 1987. After retiring, she worked at Autumnwood Care Center and also volunteered there before and after she worked there. She was a Girl Scout leader and foster parent for many years and she stayed in contact with many of the children.

Her funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the Service on Monday at the funeral home.
