Helen M. Kerlin, 80, of Old Fort, passed away Saturday morning, April 23, 2011 at Fremont Memorial Hospital.

On April 5, 1930 in Tiffin, she was born to Elmer D. and Nora L. (Heiserman) Shade. She married Willard J. Kerlin on July 25, 1949 in Greenup, KY.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Joanne (Richard) Chapman of Clyde; 2 daughters in law, Phyllis Kerlin of Fremont; Inez Kerlin of Clyde; 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 52 great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard, sons, Robert E. and Willard "John" Kerlin, brothers, Robert and Richard Shade, 1 grandchild, and 3 great grandchildren.

Helen was a member of Old Fort United Methodist Church and a graduate of Old Fort High School, class of 1949. She enjoyed camping, traveling and especially her family.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 am at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. John Alice officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Union Cemetery in Old Fort.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
