Helen Mary Kirian, 88, of Tiffin, died Tuesday morning, November 11, 2008, at Lake Park Nursing Home, Sylvania.
August 6, 1920, she was born in Cleveland, to Emil J. and Mary E.(Herrlinger) Paulus. September 23, 1939, she married Emil C. Kirian.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald (Diane) Kirian of North Raleigh, NC, John (Marge) Kirian of Tiffin,Dennis (Marianne) Kirian of Toledo, two daughters, Kathleen (Roger) Baker of Toledo, Patricia (Roger) Dariano of Tiffin, a sister, Josephine Webb of Tiffin, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, Emil, on April 12, 2000, are three brothers, John, William and James Paulus.
Helen attended Calvert High School and was a big fan of Calvert. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Rosary Altar Society and St. Francis Home Auxiliary. Prior to marriage, Helen was responsible for the dining rooms of the resident priest and nurses at Mercy Hospital. She volunteered several years as a Cub Scout Den Mother and was an advisor to CYO Spiritual committee. She was very involved with her family and loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 - Noon, Saturday, November 15, 2008, at St. Francis Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family 10:30 - 11:45 AM, Saturday, November 15, 2008, at St. Francis Home Chapel.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Francis Home or Calvert Catholic Schools.
