Helen R. Michelli, 91, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, February 15, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.

On July 22, 1933, in Tiffin, she was born to Albert L. and Loretta F. (Lorentz) Steinmetz.  She married William J. "Mooch" Michelli on June 21, 1952, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters; Karen (Ronald) Boner of Tiffin; Linda (Steven) Sauer of Carroll, OH; and Janet (Ron) Griffen of Foley, AL; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Harold, Thomas (infant) and Donald Steinmetz; and a sister, Mary Alice Houck.

Helen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 1952 graduate of Tiffin Calvert.  She was a teacher's aid and bus driver for the Seneca County School of Opportunity for over 20 years, retiring in 1988.  Helen enjoyed trips to the casino and was a member of the Tiffin Elks, past president of the Emblem Club, Tiffin Moose, Tiffin Eagles, AmVets and the American Legion.  Helen enjoyed having a good time and loved when people visited her, they never left hungry or thirsty.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 21, 2025, at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass.
