Helen L. Winland, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

She was born on May 27, 1935, in Perry County, Ohio, to Chester I. and Anna D. (Porgon) Brooks. In 1952, she married William Lawrence and he preceded her in death. In 1979, she married Paul A. Winland and he also preceded her in death.

Survivors include 3 sons, Terry (Chris Greenwald) Lawrence of Fostoria, Donald (Penny) Lawrence of Bettsville and Charles (Tanya) Lawrence of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Sandra Elchert of Tiffin and Dorothy Shaffer of Fremont; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Lester W. Brooks; and sister, Wahnetta Wright.

Helen moved to Tiffin when she was twelve from Perry County. She was a bus driver for Head Start, worked at Tiffin Enterprise and retired from Service Cab, where she worked for many years. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Helen's wishes were to be cremated. Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
