Howard W. Mowry, 87, of Tiffin, died Sunday evening, January 27, 2008, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center. On April 6, 1920, he was born in Attica, to Isaac Levi and Daisy Mae (Staley) Mowry. On August 26, 1945, he married Bertha E. 'Betty' Lufitz.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane (Patrick) Rose of Horse Shoe, NC, two grandchildren, John Rose, Kelly Elchert, and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Natalie Elchert.
Preceding him in death along with his parents, is his wife, Betty, on Dec ember 10, 2007, two brothers, Glen and Don Mowry and a sister, Zora Payne.
Howard attended First Lutheran Church, farmed, worked construction with his brother, at D.A. Mowry Construction and was a custodian at Tiffin City Schools. He liked to garden, spend time with friends and family, and travel the United States.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Brodbeck officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Freedom Hall, First Lutheran Church, Seneca County Humane Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
