Howard W. Young III, 49, of Tiffin, formerly of Republic, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Bridge Home and Health Hospice in Findlay.
On April 18, 1960, he was born to Howard W. and Maxine M. (Heimrich) Young Jr. in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He married Jamie Steinmetz in 1983, they later divorced.
Survivors include, his mother, Maxine M. Young of Tiffin, two daughters Melissa A. Young and Beth M. Young, both of Tiffin; siblings, Roger A. (Lisa) Young, Jack D. (Robin) Young, Larry J. (Lisa) Young, Renee J. (Steve) Tiell, Bradley F. Young, all of Tiffin; one granddaughter, Jordyn M. Young of Tiffin, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is his father, Howard W. Young Jr. and a brother, Randy A. Young.
Howard attended Seneca East local schools and he was a fuel tank transport driver for Pilot Travel Centers for 10 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Most recently, he enjoyed long-country rides during his long-courageous battle with cancer. Howard loved spending time with his family and especially with his only grandchild, Jordyn. Often times he would gather with his family
in the work shop. Howard will be remembered as a loving and caring family man.
A Funeral Service will be 11am, Monday, August 24, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Burial will follow in Farewell Retreat Cemetery in Republic.
Friends may visit with the family, 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T., Heartland Hospice, or Bridge Home and Health Hospice.
