Ian Daniel Kuhn, 18, of rural Tiffin, died Thursday evening, March 19, 2009, as a result of an auto accident.

October 12, 1990, he was born in Tiffin, to Daniel and Lisa (Brickner) Kuhn.

Survivors include his parents, Dan and Lisa; a brother, Austin Kuhn at home; a sister, Emily Kuhn of Perrysburg; paternal grandmother, Martha Kuhn of New Riegel; maternal grandparents, Francis (Helen) Brickner of Fostoria, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding him in death is his paternal grandfather, Charles Kuhn, maternal grandmother, Kathryn Brickner; a cousin, Danielle Vaughn in 2000; and an uncle, Mike Frankart in 2001.

Ian would have been a member of the 2009 graduating class at Hopewell-Loudon High School and was a member of SADD, FCCLA and St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was an excellent student and athlete and loved being on the football team, where he was named All Ohio Offensive Lineman, and earned a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete Award.

Ian was third baseman and pitcher for the baseball team earning multiple letters and all-league recognition in football and baseball. He worked at the Sportsman's Club in Fostoria and the previous summer at Hopewell-Loudon School. He was accepted into the engineering program at The University of Toledo. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing sports, working out and hanging out with friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM, Monday, March 23, 2009 at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, with Rev. Art Niewiadomski officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Bascom.

Friends may visit with the family 2-8 PM, Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. A Christian wake service will be 1:30 PM.
