Ida M. Bowers, 80, of Tiffin went home to her loving savior with her family at her side and in her heart on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic.

On August 28, 1940 in Fostoria, she was born to Glen and Dorothy (Davis) Bentley.  She married Gerald Bowers on August 5, 1971 and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2009.

She will be missed by her loving family; sons, Tim (Kris) Bowers of Sandusky; David (Ann) Bowers of Omaha, AR; Jeff (Cassie) Hall of Findlay; Steve Hall of Leipsic; Todd (Shelly) Bowers of Tiffin; Rodney (Nicole) Bowers of Newark; 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a very special friend, Rufus Tyree and her dog Ginger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harvey Bentley.

Ida was a 1958 graduate of Fostoria High School and worked at General Electric until their closing, Whirlpool Corp. in Findlay and later retired from Basic Refractories. She enjoyed camping at the area campgrounds, wintering in Florida, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and board games.  Ida was a private person but had a huge heart for everyone, especially her grandchildren.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.  Her funeral service will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Fritz Below officiating.  Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
