James "Jim" A. Mobley, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, October 15, 2022, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
On January 21, 1937, in Youngstown, he was born to Kenneth C. and Mary L. (Valentine) Mobley, Sr. He married Lynda Rogers on August 25, 1957, and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Kevin Mobley of Clyde; daughters, Kristi (Bill) Bowser and Kelly (Moira Kalakoda) Mobley, both of Toledo; Karin (Christopher Sears) Mobley of Tiffin; brothers, Ken "Skeet" (significant other, Susan) Mobley, Jr., Jerry (Kathy) Mobley and a sister, Becky Dean. Jim is also survived by six grandchildren, Kendall Snyder, William and Bobby Bowser, Tonya Mobley, McKinley and Madison Armstrong; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two grandchildren, Jeremy Snyder and Nichole Mobley.
Jim graduated from Springfield High School and worked as a retail manager throughout Ohio. Over the years, he worked at Woolworth's, Ben Franklin in Bellevue, Drug Mart in Willard and was a milkman from 1983-1990, later retiring. He loved dogs and was able to spend his last days with his favorite dog, Tequila.
His funeral service will be Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 5:30 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Thursday from 3:30-5:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
