James "Jim" E. Romanko, 55, of Sycamore passed away Saturday morning, December 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on July 21, 1958 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Lorne and Betty (Hayman) Romanko. On December 18, 2013, he married Linda (Wise) Hetzel.
Survivors include his bestfriend and wife, Linda; parents Lorne and Betty both of Sycamore; two sons, Derick (FiancAC., Alicia Clouse) Romanko of Orrville, OH, Daniel Romanko of Tiffin, OH; step daughter, Jessica (Nick) Shoemaker; step son, Shawn (Melissa) Hetzel both of McCutchenville; three brothers, Kevin (Fiona), Mark (Pam Fox) and Joel Romanko all of Sycamore, OH; 5 grandchildren, Jordyn, Taylor, Brayden, Elle, Elyn; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim graduated from Mohawk High School in 1976 where he qualified to be a state wrestler. He also attended The Ohio State University, Agricultural Technical Institute, Wooster for 2 years, was a partner of the family business, Romanko Sales and Service where he worked his entire life. Jim enjoyed family get-togethers, dogs, collecting coins, the outdoors, hunting, fishing in Canada, and farming with his family, he was a super fun-loving person.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Memorial Hospital Oncology Department or Seneca County Dog Warden.
