James P. Hohman, 79, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday morning, September 22, 2015 at his home.

He was born on October 6, 1935, in New Riegel, Ohio, to Raymond and Elizabeth (Ecker) Hohman.

Survivors include his sister, Arlene "Toots" Wickham of Tiffin; nephew, James A. (Stephanie) Wickham of Tiffin; two great nephews, Tyler and Logan Wickham; special friends, Mindy Herig and her son, Seth Leonard, who was like a grandson to him; and Liam McDannell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, James N. Wickham; and companion, Nancy Herrig.

James graduated from New Riegel High School, served in the United States Army, worked at and ran the New Riegel Elevator with his sister, Toots and then took it over. He retired from Fruth's Hardware. James was a season ticket holder for the Mud Hens for over 40 years and enjoyed traveling and sports.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will be private at St. Boniface Cemetery, New Reigel.
