James G. "Jim" Homan, 89, of Tiffin, passed away on December 09, 2023 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

He was born on April 15, 1934, in Tiffin to Charles E. and Hazel B. (Michaels) Homan.  On September 28, 1952, he married Alice L. Brown and she preceded him in death on June 21, 2015.

Survivors include his son, James G. (Patricia) Homan of Tiffin; daughter, Laura (James) Archer of Katy, TX; three grandchildren, Jessica Archer, Amanda (Chad) Harper and Julie (Jamie) Cholodewitsch; three great grandchildren, Kayden, Emily and Josef and special friend, Elsie R. Beattie of Clyde.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, John R. Homan on December 07, 2023; siblings, Ruth Fisher, Mary Ellen Boner, twins, Earl and Merle Homan, Jean Pfeiffer, Alice Pfeiffer, and Robert Homan.

Jim was a 1952 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and later received his bachelor's degree from Heidelberg College.  He was the owner of Jim Homan Insurance in Tiffin for over 50 years, member of the Knights of Columbus, AmVets Post 48, VFW Post 2858, and Tiffin Eagles where he was the auditor for many years.

His Graveside Service will be in Fairmont Cemetery on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 11:00 am with Rev. Tom Everett officiating.  The family would like to invite friends and family to the AmVets, 1909 S. SR. 100, Tiffin, OH 44883 on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 12:00 Noon for a time of food and fellowship.
