Obituary

James "Jim" F. Maloy, 87, of Sycamore passed away late Sunday evening, December 1, 2013 at St. Francis Home.


He was born on February 8, 1926 in Tiffin to Sidney and Marjorie (Martien) Maloy. He married Charlotte M. Dunn in Anchorage, AK on October 4, 1977 and she survives.


Survivors include his friend and wife of 50 years, Charlotte; 2 daughters Linda (Edward) Wyckhouse of Windermere, FL, Leanne Dishong of AL; 2 step-daughters, Cindi Kalinoski of Powell, OH, Bonnie Landis of Burlington, KY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Harold W. Factor Jr.; step son-in-law, Tom Kalinoski; 3 brothers, Junior, Jack, Thomas Maloy; 2 sisters, Dorothy Seislove and Marjorie Ann Lewis and his Chocolate Lab, Jake.


Jim worked for Hossler Construction in Tiffin and local 341 in Anchorage, AK. He enjoyed watching deer, fishing, hunting, taking care of his yard and going to auctions over the years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Gunner's Mate 3rd Class during WWII beginning in 1943 and was honorably discharged on March 29, 1946.


Private graveside services will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, Seneca County Humane Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
