James Anthony “Jim” Meyer, age 67, of Tiffin, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, surrounded by his family. Jim will be remembered for his perseverance following a bicycle accident as he worked diligently to recover before ultimately succumbing to his injuries.

Jim graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1977 and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He worked at Heinz for many years. Jim was a sports fan and he loved cheering on the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed attending the Walleye Hockey games and Mud Hens. He enjoyed playing his many guitars, bike riding, spending the day on his pontoon boat and at his cottage with family and friends. Jim enjoyed his morning coffee sitting on the deck or walking around the cottage. He enjoyed a good game of dominos especially beating his son-in-law, Jared. Jim's proudest achievement was his daughter Morgan becoming a nurse. Jim’s biggest joy was spending time with his grandson Luca, reading books and playing and teaching him how to play the guitar.
