James Robert "Jim" Phillips, 80, of Lima and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, January 13, 2025, at the Springs of Lima.

On August 23, 1944, in Tiffin, he was born to Robert F. and Martha E. (Steyer) Phillips.  He married Patricia J. "Pat" Frisch on July 23, 1966, and she preceded him in death on September 02, 2008.

Jim is survived by his sons, Stephen Phillips, of Spring, TX and Gregory (Danice) Phillips, of Lima, OH; sisters, Nancy (Terry) McKillip, of Florida and Jane (Bill) Sheeley, of Tiffin; sister-in-law, Judy Phillips, of Indiana; grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Andrew, Alexander and Kaitlyn; and his dear friend, Lois Studer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Ron Phillips, Bill Phillips.

Jim was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a 1963 graduate of Calvert High School, and worked at National Machinery for 52 years, retiring in 2015. He was an avid golfer in his younger days, enjoyed dinner club and outings with friends and family, and liked to visit a good winery.  Jim loved travelling to see the grandkids and trips to Amish Country.

His Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M on Friday, January 17, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. A burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
