James D. Stallard, 84, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at St. Francis Home.
He was born on February 21, 1941, in Letcher, KY, to Bill M. and Mary E. (Adams) Stallard.
Survivors include his sons, James Stallard of Fremont, Jeff (Kim Wagner) Stallard of Tiffin, Darren Stallard, of Little Mexico and Darrel Stallard of Green Springs; daughters, Taffy (Jimmy) Halcomb of Tiffin; brother, Bill Stallard, Jr. of Fostoria; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William "Curly" Stallard; sister, Louise "Tiny" Hall; granddaughter, Emma Grace Lange; and his dog, Crazy Legs.
After James' mother passed away, he was raised by his grandparents, Edwin and Mandie Adams. He was a 1958 graduate of Whitesburg High School. After high school, he served in the United States Army. James worked at the Seneca County landfill for many years, Gold Crown restaurant, owned Yellow Cab Service for years and managed the Pryzm Bar. James was a Kentucky Wildcat and Michigan Wolverine fan.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 04, 2025 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. The family would like everyone to wear Kentucky or Michigan clothes.
His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 05, 2025 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Luke Walters officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of Tiffin.
