James C. "Jim" Webster, 74, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 22, 2024 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
He was born on July 13, 1950, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Clarence and Madeline (Burkhardt) Webster. On June 28, 1969, he married Linda K. Sarver.
Survivors include his wife, Linda K. Webster of Tiffin; daughter, Kelly J. (P. Bryan) Glover of Tiffin; sister, Deanna (Cordell) Miller of Republic, Miriam (Dave) Roper of Carey, Judy Kroeger of Maineville and Linda Lawrence of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Emily (Eric) Schermer and Abigail Glover; and great granddaughter, Callie Schermer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chad Webster; brother, Ralph "Butch" Webster; and sister, Darlene Rutledge.
Jim was a 1968 graduate of Mohawk High School. He started his career off at Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria and was there for 34 years. For the last 15 years he worked at the Seneca County Commission on Aging. Jim was a Christ follower and loved Jesus very much, was a member of Restoration Alliance Church where he served as an elder for many years, taught adult Sunday School, led youth groups and helped out with maintenance around the church. He was a Cleveland Guardian and Cleveland Browns fan, loved his dog Sophie, enjoyed vacationing, going to Disney World, cruises, bus trips and traveling all over the country. Jim was very skilled, enjoyed helping everyone and loved spending time with his grandchildren who called him "Pop Pop".
His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Restoration Alliance Church, 2531 OH-100, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 with Rev. Brent Nussbaum officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel South Bend Cemetery, McCutchenville.
Friends may visit with the family from 5-7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Restoration Alliance Church, Commission on Aging or to Weekday Religious Education.
