James A.  "Jim" Wise, 83, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at The Willows at Tiffin.

He was born on November 28, 1938, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Charles J. and Marie A. (Steinmetz) Wise.  On February 1, 1958, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, he married Doris J. Smith.  They were married for 63 years before she preceded him in death on February 9, 2021.

Survivors include his children, Sandra J. (Don) Berrier of Tiffin, Mary Frances "Babe" (Scott) Niedermier of New Washington, Annette M. (Joe) Worland, Bryan R. (Laura) Wise and Jeffrey A. Wise, all of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Ryan, Kyle (Sean Cator) Miller, Andrew (Becky) Miller, Kirstin (Doug) Berlan, Nathaniel (Clairese McClellan) Worland, Trenton, Travys and Trever Wise, Justin (Marissa) Wise, Brittney (JR) Vanover and Brandon Wise; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Donna) Wise of Tiffin, John (Linda) Wise of Bloomville, Jerry (Linda) Wise of Tiffin, Don (Patsy) Wise of Tiffin and Bob (Linda) Wise of Findlay; sister, Patricia (Dan) Burks of Sycamore; brother-in-law, John DeBarbrie of Tiffin; and sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Kinn of Upper Sandusky.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Eileen DeBarbrie.

Jim was a proud dairy and grain farmer.  He also sold used farm equipment for many years through Wise Farms. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Private Services were held at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory and burial was in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to go to St. Mary Catholic Church or to ProMedica Hospice.
