Janet E. Steininger, 83, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 2, 2020 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on July 21, 1936, in Alvalda, Ohio, to Darwin and Mildred (Zuern) Noble.  On July 28, 1957, she married Joseph Steininger.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Steininger of Tiffin; son, Joseph Steininger, Jr. of Tiffin; and sister, Trina Garner of South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Ann Carlson.

Janet graduated in 1954 from Tiffin Columbian High School and was a line worker at General Electric for over 30 years.  She was a member of Family of Faith Lutheran Church,  Tiffin Moose Lodge 846 and the Amvets Post 48 and enjoyed socializing, going on cruises, playing cards, traveling to Europe, Hawaii and to Vegas.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Fairmont Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the School of Opportunity or to Family of Faith Lutheran Church.
