Janice Ellen Moffett Alt, 76, of Tiffin and formerly of New Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born on April 03, 1948, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Paul and Imogene (Funk) Moffett. She married Jerome Alt and they later divorced.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela (David) Crate of Junction City, Ohio; brother, Dave (Carmen) Moffett of Dallas, GA; sisters, Barbara Kingsmore of Macedonia, Ohio and Mary (Shinichi Kozuka) Moffett of Heber City, Utah; and two grandchildren, Donald Abram III and Allexis Abram.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy W. Alt; brothers, Paul Moffett and Tom Moffet; and sister, Marlene Cotner.
Janice was a 1968 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. Before moving from Tiffin, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and worked at GE, Ponderosa and then Frisch's. Janice was an OSU fan, enjoyed volunteering at Calvert when her kids were in school, attending her grandchildren's school activities, coloring, drawing and she loved dogs.
Her Graveside Service will be at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Deacon Greg Siebenaller officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to a local Suicide Prevention program.
