Jean Eleanor Anderson High, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2012 at Friedman Village at St. Francis in Tiffin.

On March 4, 1924 in Seneca County she was born to Charles H. and Arlene Elizabeth (Shaffer) Hufford. She married Wilbur "Andy" Anderson on June 9, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1976 after 30 years of marriage. She later married Rodney High on September 5, 1979 and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2010 after 30 years of marriage

Survivors include a son, Gary C. Anderson of San Clemente, CA; two granddaughters, Eleanor (Jeffrey) Anderson Shawberry and Jacqueline (Jeremy Feasel) Anderson, three great grandsons, Andrew and Zachary Shawberry and Liam Anderson all of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a sister, Annabelle Kaiser.

Jean was a member of Old Trinity Episcopal Church and graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1942 and Mt. Sinai School of Nursing. She retired from the former Tiffin State Hospital after 28 years. Jean loved her family and friends and she enjoyed reading, golfing, playing Bridge and traveling.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11:30 am at Old Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Amy Fallon officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may visit on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 10-11:30 am at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, Tiffin-Seneca Public Library or to the Ritz Theatre.
