Jean M. Montz, 92, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, August 29, 2021 in the Emergency Room at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.

On September 3, 1928 in New Riegel, OH, she was born to Albert and Armina (Elchert) Borer.  She married Donald "Don" Montz on April 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2009.

Survivors include two daughters, Barb (Randy) Cooper of Blacklick, OH and Lynn (Tim) Ardner of Tiffin; four sons, Dennis (Carol) Montz of Toledo, James (Betty) Montz of Tiffin, Larry (LuAnn) Montz of Carey and Brian Montz of Tiffin; brother, Lloyd (Jan) Borer of Tiffin; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Kenneth and James Borer.

Jean was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1946 graduate of New Riegel High School.  She worked in the cafeteria at Krout Elementary and Columbian High School for 18 years, was an excellent cook and enjoyed crocheting.

Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader and Rev. Gary Walters con-celebrating.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FACT or to St. Mary Catholic Church.
