Jean Ann Fixler, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, January 31, 2015 at her home.

She was born on October 28,1933, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Howard and Gwendolyn (Rapp) Payne. She married Glenn Applegate who preceded her in death on November 30, 1987. She later married Glenn E. Fixler November 9, 1991, in Dearborn Heights, MI and he survives.

Other survivors include her son Jeffrey (Sabrina) Applegate of Flint, MI; daughter, Julie (David) Davies of Tiffin; 2 step-sons, Robert (Beth) Fixler of Westland, MI, Thomas Fixler of Chicago, IL; step-daughter, Carol (Doug) Wendt of Canton, MI; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant twin sister, Joan Payne.

Jean graduated from West Portsmouth High School in 1952. She attended the former Washington Street United Methodist Church and the First Presbyterian Church. Jean enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and visiting the Amish country. Jean enjoyed, most of all, spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Katie Treadway officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the funeral home.
