Arnoline "Jean" Harrington, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday morning, April 3, 2010, at her home.
She was born March 31, 1926, in Battle Creek, Mich., to Arno and Lillian (Austin) Perry. She had been married to Earl "Jake" Harrington for over 35 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Michela "Mickey" Simpkins of Tiffin; two sisters, Marianne (Bill) Heine of Delton, Mich. and Nancy Ohler of Fostoria; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jake; and a grandson, Steve Chaney.
Jean and her husband owned and operated Harrington's Upholstery on West Market St. for many years and she worked at the Old Smoke Haus downtown for over 5 years. Jean enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and crocheting.
A memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Tiffin, with the Rev. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in her memory.
