Jean-Louis Mongeau, 72, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday afternoon, May 16, 2016.

He was born on October 9, 1943, in Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues, Quebec, Canada to Maurice and Gertrude Mongeau.

Survivors include his daughter, Aimee Jean (Brian Steinhauser) Mongeau; son, Michael Mongeau; siblings, Eliette Nat, Muriel Babin and Jean-Claude Mongeau; and his close friend and companion, Martina Burkett.

He was preceded in death by Henriette Duhamel, Gerald Mongeau and Rael Mongeau.

Jean-Louise moved to Tiffin in 1968 and worked all his life as a journeyman lineman at Toledo Edison retiring in 2005. He enjoyed socializing, boating and gardening.

Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time. A Celebration of his Life will held in the near future.

Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T or to a charity of the donor's choice.
