Jeanne E. McDade, 89, of Plano, TX and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Life Care Center of Plano.

She was born on June 20, 1926, in Bascom, to Vernon and Lucille (Kline) Hedges. On December 21, 1947, she married Rice McDade and he preceded her in death in March of 1992.
Survivors include her sister, Margaret Hance of Piqua; two daughters, Patricia McDade of Plano, TX and Barbara (Carl "Butch") Biller of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Jennifer Daniel of Tiffin and Jeffrey (Lara Houk) Biller of Darlington, PA and six great-grandchildren, Cody, Shawn and Leslie Daniel, Brynn Biller and Jaylyn and Lucy Houk; Scott Daniel of Tiffin, who continued to be close to Jeanne; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon and David Hedges; and sister, Dorrine Matz.
Jeanne worked at the Seneca County Courthouse, Sears and retired from Ameriwood. After retirement, she wanted something to fill her time so she worked part-time at Quick Tab. She was a member of V.F.W. Tiffin Post #2858, Moose Lodge #846, F.O.E. Aerie #402 and AmVets Post #48. Jeanne was an OSU fan and enjoyed watching football, men and women's basketball, was an avid bowler and held many offices for the Ladies Bowling Association. She also enjoyed getting together with the bowling girls and was a volunteer at First Call for Help.

Her Memorial service will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Catherine Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
