Jeffrey L. Messinger, 59, of Melmore, passed away on Monday morning, March 13, 2017 at his home.

He was born on August 8, 1957, in Saginaw, MI, to Robert T. and Vivian (Johnson) Messinger.  On October 28, 1995, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, he married Susan "Sue" Wagner.

Survivors include his wife, Sue of Melmore; son, Danny Messinger of CA; daughter, Halee Messinger of MI; brothers, Tom (Connie) Messinger of MI and Steve (Toni) Messinger of FL; aunt, Carol Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Phyllis Wagner of Tiffin; sisters-in-law, Karen Wagner of Indiana, Jennifer (Rob) Miller of Texas and Julie (Rob) Schickman of New York; and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the Midland and Saginaw area of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jeffrey graduated from Ferris State in Big Rapids, MI with a bachelor's degree and worked in merchandising, sales and was a probation officer.  While he was in Tiffin for work, he met his wife, Sue.  Jeffrey recently worked as a driver for ICP, was a Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Michigan State Spartans fan and he enjoyed being outside, doing yard work and helping his wife with deliveries from the flower shop.  He was a member of the Tiffin Moose #846.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka and Rev. James Steinle con-celebrating.   Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass at Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County or to a charity of the donor's choice.
