Jerome Sendelbach, 94, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday July 06, 2024 at Admiral's Pointe, Huron Ohio.
He was born on January 02, 1930, in Bascom, Ohio, to Louis and Lena (Raitz) Sendelbach. On August 4, 1951, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary J. Robenalt of Tiffin Ohio. They were married for 72 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary J. Sendelbach of Tiffin; son, Michael (Kristine) Sendelbach of Seattle, WA; daughter, Lori Sendelbach of Tiffin; seven grandchildren, Laura (Corey) Barrett, Daniel Sendelbach, Jack (Chloe) Sendelbach, Joseph Sendelbach, Olivia Sendelbach, Christopher (Jessica) Mohr and Holly (Brian Hall) Mohr; and three great grandchildren, Kruse, Maverick and Sloan Mohr. Along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Louis and Lena Sendelbach, dear son, Daniel L. Sendelbach; brothers, Joseph Sendelbach, Herman Sendelbach and Irvin Sendelbach; and sister, Rose Larke.
Jerome was a graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. After high school, he served in the United States Army. He worked in excavating, and later became an upholsterer and co-owned with his wife Mary, Sendelbach Upholstery over 40 years. He volunteered and worked as a Eucharistic Minister at Mercy Hospital. He was a Cleveland Indians fan, loved his bowling leagues and enjoyed woodworking and playing cards.
His Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, July 12, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon on July 12, 2024 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to SouthernCare Hospice.
The family would like to give a special thank you, to Stein Hospice, SouthernCare Hospice, and to all the supportive staff at Admiral's Point for their care of Jerome. Finally, all his family and friends who extended their care and love at this time.
