Joan Ernst, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday morning, November 11, 2015 at Birchaven Village, Findlay.

She was born on December 7, 1925, in McComb, Ohio, to Wallace and Mary (Ridge) Barger. On February 20, 1947, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Raymond E. "Ray" Ernst and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2015.

She is survived by sons, A. Chris (Rose) Ernst and Mark L. (Kim) Ernst, both of Tiffin; daughters, Ann C. (George) Georgevich of Toledo and Brenda S. (Charles) Dunlap of Tiffin; brother, James (Kathleen) Barger of Findlay; sister, Patricia Schmidt of Findlay; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, William Barger.

Joan graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1943, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and their Rosary Altar Society. She was co-owner of Buckeye Panel-Ply, Inc. with her husband, Ray which they owned for over 20 years. Joan enjoyed boating on Lake Erie, vacationing and traveling the world.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
