Obituary

Joan S. Hohler, 83, of Tiffin, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at St. Francis Home.

On June 23, 1925, she was born in Tiffin to Arthur and Ida (Brickner) Hamilton. On May 29, 1965, she married Richard B. Hohler.

Survivors include a step-son, Kevin (Bonnie) Hohler of Tiffin; two nieces, Sue (Phillip) Nussbaum of Findlay; Janet (Jim) Christianson of Fort Wayne, IN; three nephews, and four grandchildren, Chad, Beth, Andy, Dawn; and eleven great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death, along with her husband, is a sister, Imogene Brooks.

Joan was a 1944 graduate of Calvert High School. She lived all off her married life in Sandusky, and then later moved to Tiffin. She was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sandusky. She attended Warren Beauty College in Toledo, and after college she managed and worked in many salons. She also worked for Aid for the Aged. In her free time Joan enjoyed crocheting.

A Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at St. Francis Home Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating.

Burial is to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
