Joan F. Welborn, 76, of Tiffin, died Thursday evening, June 3, 2010, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

On October 28, 1933, she was born in Carey to Clarence A. and Martha B. (Lucius) Shultz. She married Carl G. Welborn in St. Mary Catholic Church on October 16, 1954.

Survivors include a son, Dave (Connie) Welborn of Bucyrus; four daughters, Debra (Mark) Phillips of Tiffin; Vickie (Fred) Widmeyer of Mason; Cathy (Ron) Heyman of Attica; and Wendy (Chris Schultz) Carr of Wayne; three brothers, Louis (Jean) Shultz of Oregon; William Shultz and Robert (Mary) Shultz, both of Tiffin; four sisters, Rita (Robert) Schmidtz; Nancy (Paul) Kanney; Barbara (Donald) Roberts and Betty (Martin) Finley, all of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and one expected soon.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband, Carl, on December 3, 1997, is an infant son, Michael Welborn; a sister, Rosemary Zachary; and an infant grandson, Robert Welborn.

Joan was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed her grandchildren, being with her family, gardening, cooking, flowers, playing cards, cook outs and games. She worked at Grabler Mfg., Seneca County School of Opportunity and a member ofTiffin Moose Lodge #846 for over 25 years.

Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 6-8 PM, Monday, June 7, 2010 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home.
