Joanne L. Ranker, 78, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 10, 2013 at her home.

She was born on April 20, 1935, in Plant City, FL, to Walter and Eva (Collins) Hillman. On June 20, 1953, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Mervin "Doc" Ranker.

Survivors include her husband, Doc, of Tiffin; son, Mike (Deborah) Ranker of Carrollton, TX; 2 daughters, Cindy (Dean) Distel and Becky (Tim) Adams, both of Tiffin; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Joanne graduated in 1953 from Tiffin Columbian High School, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and worked as a hostess at Riverview Inn Restaurant for 20 years. She was a member of the Tiffin Garden Club, enjoyed gardening and flowers and was very family oriented.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 14, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.

There will be no visitation.
