Joanne B. Strauch, 59, of Tiffin, died Friday morning, April 17, 2009, at her home.

June 28, 1949, she was born in Holden, MA, to Harold and Elizabeth (Marshall) Janes. January 10, 1970, she married Larry Strauch who preceded her in death on October 15, 2007.

Survivors include a son, Chad Strauch of Tiffin, a daughter, Jessica (Mike) Boes of Fostoria, a brother, Marshall Janes of Shirley, MA, six sisters, Marjorie Janes of East Woodstock, CT, Deborah Janes, Caroline Lomicka, both of Chelmsford, MA, Lorinda Fearebay of Berlin, MA, Barbara Gutierrez of Evergreen, CO, Natalie Ridge of Derby, NY, four grandchildren, Robert Kniss, Breanna Boes, Brandi Boes and Brennon Boes.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband is a brother, Gregory Janes.

Joanne graduated from high school in MA, and proudly served in the US Air Force from 1969-1970, stationed in Japan. She worked at Meyer Drug and retired from Tiffin Developmental Center after 10 years. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and knitting items she could give away to charitable organizations.

There is no visitation or services.
