John Ned Baker, 82, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.

He was born on June 25, 1938, in Tiffin, Ohio, to James D. and Alieta Baker.

Survivors include his son, John D. Baker of Tiffin, daughter, Jodee Greer of Tiffin; fiancé, Kathy Benedict of Tiffin; and grandchildren, Andrew Baker, Ashley Baker and Ivee Greer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Baker.

John graduated in 1956 from Old Fort High School and served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958.  While in the Army, he was a boxer.  He retired after 35 years from Honeywell and recently worked at Mohawk Country Club.  John loved all things nature and woke up early each morning feeding the animals.  He enjoyed collecting and learning about antiques and their history, going to flea markets, auctions, visiting Arizona and Michigan, mushroom hunting, fishing and loved his dogs and cats.  Throughout John's life, he was very active and was loved by all.

His Memorial Service will be at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 P.M. until the time of the Service on Thursday at the funeral home.
