John C. 'Jack' Pachlhofer, 69, of Fostoria, died Monday morning, March 9, 2009, at his home.

July 24, 1939, he was born in Columbus to William Joseph and Clara (Christophory) Pachlhofer. August 22, 1964, he married Patricia Shrider. They divorced, but she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, John Pachlhofer II, of Sandusky; Jeff Pachlhofer of Fostoria; four grandchildren, Tayler, Gage, Chase and Tryston

Preceding him in death along with his parents is a brother, Robert F. Pachlhofer on May 9, 2006, and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth 'Betty' Pachlhofer on January 10, 2009.

Jack was a 1957 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bascom. He retired as a master assembler in 2003, after 25 years at General Dynamics in Lima and belonged to the Retiree's Committee. He was a huge Hopewell Loudon athletics fan and Booster. He was a fan of Michigan football, attending the Michigan vs. OSU football game for over 34 years. His life was high school sports and traveling around the area.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Friday March 13, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, with Rev. Art Niewiadomski officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the United Veteran's Council.

Friends may visit with the family 2-4 or 6-9 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-2424. A Christian wake service will be 9:00 PM.
