Obituary

John B. "Berneil" Saum, 80, of Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, December 15, 2012 at his home.

He was born on June 27, 1932, in Kansas, Ohio to Melvin and Alta (Hammer) Saum.

Survivors include his brother, Kenneth Saum of McCutchenville; 5 sisters, Kathleen (Royal) Smith of Tiffin, Mary Ann Ley and Connie (Donald) Bouillon, both of Fostoria, Anna Lou (Thomas) Goshe of Alvada, and Berneita Saum of Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Berneil graduated in 1950 from Jackson Liberty School and was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. He was in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955 serving one year in Korea. He worked at Basic Refractories in Bettsville, in research and as a truck driver.

There will be a graveside service at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery, Liberty Twp. with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating.
