John L. "Jack" Schaade, 67, of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Tiffin, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Knox Community Hospital, Mt. Vernon.

On January 30, 1942 in Tiffin, he was born to Robert and Helen (Huffman) Schaade. He was a cab driver for Service Cab in Tiffin for over 30 years.

Survivors include sons, John (Ramona) Schaade of Mt. Vernon; Ken (Barb) Schaade of Tiffin; Jeff (Dawn) Schaade and Bob Schaade both of Mt. Vernon; Henry (DeeDee) Schaade of WV; daughters, April (Bill) Siggers of Somerset, KY; Melissa (Spencer) Wallace of Monticello, KY; Michelle (Fred) Shelton of Albany, KY; brothers, Bill Schaade of Tiffin; Jerry (Evelyn) Schaade of Burnside, KY; Mike (Freda) Schaade of Danville, KY; sisters, Mary Schaade of Tiffin; Suzanne Tucker of Youngstown; Ethel (Jack) Schleter of Tiffin; 31 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, James and Paul Schaade.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Andy Freeman and David Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
