John Edward Sendelbach, 81, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, with his wife and children at his side.
He was born on December 28 1943, in Frenchtown, Ohio, to Emerson Albert and Lavern Catherine (Tiell) Sendelbach. On July 21, 1998, he married Betty L. Scherer.
He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Sendelbach of Tiffin; son, Todd Sendelbach of Tiffin; daughters, Tonya Whipple of Fort Wayne, IN and Tami Kern of Tiffin; brother, Richard (Sandy) Sendelbach of Bascom; sisters, Alma Everhart and Marge Everhart, both of Tiffin; brother-in-law, Herbert (Eileen) Scherer of Tiffin; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, Charles Everhart and Clayton "Pete" Everhart.
John served in the United States Army Reserve and worked at Tiffin Developmental Center in HVAC. He was a naturalist who spent a lot of time researching and studying vitamins and minerals, was a lifetime researcher of the Word of God, enjoyed riding bikes, gardening, playing board games, especially Risk, was a hard worker, family man and loved his children.
His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Audra Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Friday at the Funeral Home.
