Jon A. Wagner, 77, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2025, at his home.

Jon was born to John and Thelma (Sharpe) Wagner, on September 17, 1947, in Tiffin. In 1969, he married Susan (Troiano) Allen, they divorced. He, later married Hazel Loretta "Lori" Lange. They also divorced but remained friends and often attended family functions with everyone.

Jon was so proud of his grandkids, and he loved talking about them. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dirt Track Racing, music, western movies, books, automobiles of all vintages, and he was a history buff. Two of his greatest thrills were attending a Steelers game and riding in a push truck at Eldora Speedway.  Jon remained employed at G.E. until their closing.  He also worked at NEO-Wood furniture.  He served in the United States Navy from January 28, 1965 to September 12, 1968.

Jon was a man of few words. He just enjoyed the simple things in life such as people watching and had a deep love for all of his family.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Ken Drew; infant great grandson, Nathaniel; and his long-time loyal dog and companion, Roxie.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie Drew, Scott (Cheri) Wagner, Dan (Danielle) Lange, Stephanie (Bill) Metzger; grandchildren, Alex (Shannon), Matt (Alyssa), Amanda (Cole), Samantha, Lindsay (Jacob), Tony, Madalynn, Nichole, Kyler (Coral), Gage (Rebekka), Bryce, Jacob and Jon; great grandchildren, Blaise, Elle, Maicie, Avery, Cohen, Dixie, Remi, Allison, Natalie, Levi, Mycala, Jaxon, Jacob, Chandon, Kameron, Konner, McKenvie, Demarcus Jr., Ford, and Dolly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Veterans Services, Seneca County Humane Society, or to Tiffin City Parks Department.
