Joseph A. "Joe" Ball, 59, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday morning, May 21, 2013 at his sister's house.
He was born on September 9, 1953, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Oscar J. and Florence M. (Boes) Ball.
Survivors include his brothers, Art (Loretta) Ball and Larry (Liz) Ball, both of Tiffin; 3 sisters, Maggie Lee of Bloomdale, Martha Kent of Tiffin and Rita Bohrer of Bloomville; brother-in-law, Danny Reed of Melmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and 3 sisters, Eugenia Smith, Helen Stone and Mary Reed.
Joe graduated from the Seneca County Opportunity Center in 1974, worked at Seneca Re-Ad Industries in Tiffin and Fostoria and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling, darts, swimming, listening to music, solving word search puzzles and riding his bicycle all around town. He also enjoyed watching big time wrestling, NASCAR, Jimmie Johnson, attending Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway; cheering for his brother, Art Ball. Joe enjoyed spending time with his friends and family; especially his nieces and nephews.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass.
Friends may visit with family from 10-11:45 A.M. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County School of Opportunity or Seneca Re-Ad Industries.
